Overview

Hutchins is ideally located along the Interstate-45 and Interstate-20 corridors in southern Dallas County. The city encompasses approximately 8.6 square miles and is only 10 minutes from bustling downtown Dallas. The community was founded in 1860 as the trading place for immigrants who crossed the Trinity River from the east of Dowdy’s Ferry and for the settlers along the west banks of the river. Hutchins has maintained its commerce roots as it grew. Today, Hutchins is a logistics powerhouse and is home to the Dallas International  Inland Port and one of the busiest FedEx Ground sites in the United States. Hutchins has room to grow with a  vision for success. For more information visit: https://cityofhutchins.org/business/economic-development.html
